Victor Roudometof is associate professor of Sociology at the University of Cyprus. He is the author of 3 monographs and has also edited or co-edited five volumes on Americanization, transnationalism, nationalism & religion as well as several issues of refereed journals. Currently, he is member in the editorial boards of the European Journal of Social Theory & Nations and Nationalism  and the on-line journal Religions. Additionally, he has served as external reviewer for evaluations conducted by major research centers as well as for international publishers & governmental organizations. His research interests include the study of Eastern Orthodox Christianity, globalization, glocalization, culture, nations and nationalism, transnational relations and diaspora. His latest book is Globalization and Orthodox Christianity: the Transformations of a Religious Tradition (London: Routledge, 2014).
